Aico Fire Products - Approved Installer Status

SMK Building recently became an approved installer of Aico Fire Products. Aico are the leading supplier of fire safety products in the UK and we are currently upgrading fire detection equipment throughout Wales using Aico' s latest products.
After the successful launch of our Employee of the Month we are delighted to announce Alan Wilson as this month's winner. Alan won a cheque for £50 and a bottle of champagne.
The shortlist also included the following staff:-

- Mr John Holland Barry Team
The scheme recognises those staff who have performed to an exceptionally well during the month and is open to all employees with the shortlist made up of representatives from the Bedwas and Barry offices.
External Wall Insulation - Cardiff
We are delighted to been selected to carry out External Wall Insulation works in Cardiff for United Welsh Housing Association.
Our specialist team will be installing Rockwool's Rockshield system. The system has already been installed in a number of properties in Senghenydd with residents being delighted with the difference it makes to the thermal comfort of the property. One resident was delighted to tell us how he now could turn off his heating early in the evening and his home remained warm throughout the rest of the night.
Works will commence in Cadiff in March with anticipated completion later in the month.

Management Structure
Management Structure
SMK Building and Maintenance has three Directors each taking responsibility for a particular area of operation of the business.
The Directors remain dedicated to the core values that are the foundation of the success of SMK and these values are communicated through the management structure so every member of the SMK team knows exactly what is expected of them.
The operational management is carried out from both the Barry and Caerphilly offices with each client having a designated manager responsible for their programme of works or contract. The day to day supervision is carried out by a highly experienced and professional team and the teams delivering the works are all directly employed.
All staff enjoy good working conditions and competitive salaries together with opportunities to advance to supervisory and management positions within the company.
The finance and administration team are based in the Barry office with additional administrative support based in the Caerphilly office.
